South of the Point Cook Homestead, the coast swings to the west, then south-west. The first beach (Point Cook South 1) is part of the Coastal Park and has extensive parking and picnic facilities. The second beach (Point Cook South 2) forms the boundary of the Point Cook RAAF base and is off limits to the public. Both the beaches receive low waves, which build a low, narrow beach fronted by shallow, intertidal sand and rock flats up to 200 m wide. There is a 400 m long jetty extending out from the RAAF base.
Beach Length: 2.8km
General Hazard Rating: 1/10
