The north-east corner of Magnetic Island consists of granite hills rising nearly 200 m and a number of small bays and embayed beaches. The first five bays house four sandy beaches; Balding, Radical, Florence and Arthur Bays, while Balding, Radical and Florence Bays are also marine parks. Radical Bay (MT2) lies immediately east of Balding Bay; it also faces north and is a more open, 250 m wide bay with prominent granite headlands. A road leads to the bay where there are a few houses and a small car park, but no facilities. The beach has a low to moderate gradient and varies in width from 20 m at high tide to up to 50 m at low tide.
Beach Length: 0.25km
