Washerwoman Beach (NSW 459) extends south of the boundary headland for 840 m curving round in the south to face northeast, with tall trees lining the back of the beach (Fig. 4.346). The beach is composed of fine sand, which with waves averaging less than 1 m produces a wide flat beach, usually devoid of rips, but with some central rocks. Boat Harbour Beach (NSW 460) is located immediately to the east and is a curving protected north facing 320 m long beach with waves averaging 0.5 m and a steeper reflective beach face. It is fringed by 70 m wide rock platforms at each end which converge to provide a 100 m wide opening to the harbour. The boat ramp is located toward the eastern end.
Beach Length: 0.9km
General Hazard Rating: 4/10
